Beaver sighting again

While not afraid, he does seem to be annoyed with me taking his picture....

Tifft at Twilight

Thank you to everyone who came out to Tifft's first signature event, "Tifft at Twilight"!

Although the weather didn't cooperate exactly, we still managed to have lots of good conversations and an enjoyable evening. The rain only made it memorable. Jarod Miller put on an entertaining presentation and the bat tour was fascinating. Our auction was a hit and the food was superb. A big thanks to everyone who made this evening possible.

Turtle Tour

This last Sunday was our annual Turtle Tour put on by Friends of Tifft Nature Preserve. Its one of our more popular summer programs. We didn't see a snapper this year but we did see plenty of turtles!

It's not a turtle but I thought this cicada exoskeleton was pretty cool.

Tifft at Twilight

No, this event isn't about Team Edward or Team Jacob.

Tifft Nature Preserve is holding a signature fundraiser event by the setting of the sun on August 21st called "Tifft at Twilight". Acclaimed host and producer (not to mention hometown boy) of Fox 29's Animal Exploration will be putting on a special presentation for those in attendance! Attendees will also be able to register for other special events throughout the night such as guided tours, bat detection, and insects by nightlight.

Tickets for this intimate event are $50 each and go towards helping Tifft's educational programming. The deadline to purchase them are Tuesday August 17th. They can be purchased at the Tifft Gift Shop or by clicking here.

Along with the exciting and interesting programs during the night, we also have a cash bar and Hors d’oeuvres made from locally grown in season foods from the Gourmet Store.

So check it out and help support Tifft!
